Lajka Books is a new, Europe-based, independent publishing company. Basically we make books, just like all the other publishing companies. But, what sets us apart is our approach. Panni Kövecses’s debut book is a kids’ detective story taking place in a small seaside town during the summer vacation. Let’s join Erik and Nipper on their chase for the stolen canary, automatic camera and horn rimmed eye-glasses and find out who is the mysterious thief behind all the disappearances. Thanks to the author’s graphic design background, the story is sided by stunning illustration with lovely characters, great colors, and some faboulous mid-century athmosphere.
